First off, I would just like to let you know why I’ve been slacking on this 30 Days of Thankfulness Project. We decided to build a Christmas Float for the annual Parade of Lights in Cape. It was something I was really passionate about doing, after all that was the one thing we did EVERY year growing up.
Anyways, I was on the float committee and let me tell ya that stuff isn’t easy! I am so amazed at how much work goes into these kind of things. Well, the float turned out great! Here’s a picture of us at the parade:
It was so much fun to see you all along the parade route. We even won an award for best music. That’s totally because of you. You let us play the BEST Holiday Hits with it being KISSmas and all (Can you tell that I was just a TEENY bit excited?). We’ve even begun to decorate our offices in the building. It just puts us all in a FANTASTIC mood around here .
Speaking of decorations, have you put your stuff up yet? My husband got our outside lights up and on, but we have yet to tackle the inside. I’m one of those people that has to have the house clean before we drag all this new stuff out. Hopefully that happens this weekend. I already feel behind because we didn’t get to put up our tree on Black Friday. That’s kind of a tradition at our house.
But even with all those distractions, I still have A LOT to be thankful for! Here are some of the things I missed out on blogging about:
Day 21: Thankful that I have a job even on days it gets a little demanding. At least my voice still works!
Day 22: Thankful for that fact that we were able to purchase the food to make an awesome Thanksgiving meal.
Day 23: Thankful for recovery days! Too bad I haven’t been productive….
Day 24 I’m thankful for friends and their families that take me under their wings while my husband is at work (Zach Stanfield, Kyle Aufdenberg, Kelly Grove)
Day 25: I’m thankful for teamwork! Even if it’s just a small team of two people…it’s amazing the things you can accomplish!
Day 26: I’m thankful for do-overs. We don’t always get it right the first time, but tend to learn a lot between takes one and two.
Day 27: Thankful for NO CAVITIES Good morning at the dentist.
Day 28: I’m thankful for NEW Christmas Songs to play on KISSmas!
Day 29: I’m thankful for my drive to succeed. Good thing I found it, otherwise I wouldn’t where I’m at today.
There, I think I’m all caught up now I hope you are having an awesome month of November. Seriously can’t believe that December is just two days away. I promise I won’t forget to write tomorrow!
